PIP or Disability Allowance — which applies to me?
PIP is the main working-age disability payment in the UK; Disability Allowance is the equivalent in Ireland. Attendance Allowance covers older people in the UK. The guides explain who each is for.
I was refused — should I give up?
Absolutely not. Disability decisions are among the most frequently overturned on appeal. See the guide on appealing — many people win with the same evidence, just presented properly.
Is there help with the cost of a car?
In Ireland, the Disabled Drivers & Disabled Passengers Scheme gives significant tax relief. See the guide.
