Readers’ reports
Did you get it?
What readers told us happened after they applied: approved, refused, or still waiting, payment by payment. No department publishes this in a form a person can use before they apply. Readers’ own reports, not official figures.
Not enough reports yet. A payment appears here once at least 5 readers have said what happened, and a percentage once 20 have had a decision. The counts are collected now; this page fills itself in as they arrive.
How it works
- After you use the free check, or tick a claim off in your plan, the site asks about two weeks later whether the claim was approved, refused or is still waiting.
- Your answer adds one to that payment’s count. We keep three numbers per payment and nothing else: no name, no email, no answers.
- A payment is shown only from 5 reports, and a percentage only from 20 decisions, so a single person can never be picked out and a small number cannot mislead.
- Each guide shows its own count under the amount card once it has five.
Why it matters
A refusal rate tells you whether to expect a fight and whether to appeal; a waiting count tells you how long to plan for. If the rate on a payment is far from what the rules say it should be, that is a sign our guide, or the Department’s own process, has a problem, and we look.
