What Work and Access covers

Work and Access funds adjustments that make workplaces accessible. There are 7 categories of support, and you may be entitled to more than one at the same time:

The Workplace Equipment Grant

The Workplace Equipment Grant provides up to €12,000 for assistive equipment or technology. It is available to employees and self-employed people who need specific tools to do their jobs effectively — in the workplace or from home.

New or existing employees and self-employed people can apply, and you can make the application yourself rather than waiting for an employer to do it.

You do not have to wait until you have the job. Funding is available to qualifying job candidates as well as employees, which means the equipment question can be settled before a start date rather than becoming a reason not to hire you.
