Monthly payments — same day every month
| Payment | When it's paid in 2026 |
|---|---|
| Child Benefit | 1st Tuesday of every month |
| Domiciliary Care Allowance | 3rd Tuesday of every month |
If a bank holiday falls just before your payment day, the money is often in your account a little earlier — see the bank-holiday note below.
Weekly payments
Most other payments — the State Pension, Jobseeker's, Disability Allowance, One-Parent Family Payment, Carer's Allowance, Working Family Payment and more — are paid weekly, on a set weekday. The exact day depends on the payment and your own claim, and stays the same each week. You can see your own payment day in MyWelfare.
