Who can get it — the full rules
If you get Industrial Injuries Disablement Benefit, you must need daily care and attention, such as home nursing or help preparing or eating food. You must also be assessed as 100 per cent disabled.
If you get a War Disablement Pension, you must need personal help for the same reasons you get the pension, and your war pension must be 80 per cent or more.

The rate depends on how disabled you are and how much care you need. On the exceptional or intermediate rate, you may also get Exceptionally Severe Disablement Allowance.
How to claim
For industrial injuries, it is considered at your medical examination if a 100 per cent assessment is being considered. You can also contact the Industrial Injuries Branch or your Jobs and Benefits office.
For a war pension, contact Veterans UK for claim form WPA 0003 (CAA). Your carer may be able to get Carer's Allowance if you need a lot of care.
