Rate history

Social welfare rates since 2010

The headline rate of each main payment, every year from 2010 to 2026, read from the Department’s own Rates of Payment booklets. Each year links to its booklet, so any figure can be checked in seconds. Weekly unless marked.

A dash means the booklet’s layout for that payment and year could not be read with confidence, so nothing is shown rather than a guess. The figure is the first rate under the payment’s heading in the booklet: the full personal rate at nil means. 2011 uses the July to December booklet, 2024 the August revision. Qualified adult and child increases, means bands and the Budget changes still to start are on each payment’s own rate history page.
